Symposium on February 15, 2013

A symposium entitled Nanoscience & Nanotechnology: Fundamentals and Recent Trends was conducted on February 15, 2013. The program was inaugurated by Dr. C.K. K. Nair, Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences & Re-search Centre, Thiruvalla. This symposium intended to disseminate knowledge on various aspects of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology among Science and Technology students. Talks were delivered by the following experts. Student Scientist in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology

The participants were allowed to submit a short research proposal after the symposium, linking their discipline with the nano field. Individuals or groups (of two students) were permitted to submit proposals on or before 22.2.13. The best proposal was selected based on the merit and innovation of the idea. Also, the contestants were  invited to make a presentation of their idea before the judging panel. Mr. Sarath P. S., was our first “Student Scientist in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology”. The winner was granted a scholarship worth Rs. 4000/-. And he was permitted to make use of the facilities of the Centre to complete the project.
